The Page
Opposite Field Sports was started as a way to dump my sports opinions somewhere in a format longer than 160 characters. It’s just a hobby, and is more for my sake than anything else. I intend to focus on the Seahawks, Mariners, and Formula 1/McLaren, but may drift into other sports/teams.
The name comes from geographical inspiration: I grew up in Seattle and am a Seattle sports fan first and foremost. However, my career took me to Boston, so I was living on the opposite side of the country from my favorite sports teams when I decided to create this blog. My interest in Formula 1 also has me on the opposite side of the action, this time of the Atlantic Ocean. “Opposite field” is a term often used in baseball, which albeit not all-encompassing of the subject matter I hope to cover, seemed like a good fit for a sports-centric blog.
The AUTHOR
Nate is a software developer with a passion for the Seahawks, Mariners, and Formula 1, particularly McLaren, and the greater sports world in general. Outside of sports, he can be found at his desk losing at a variety of video games, brewing (but more likely just drinking) craft beer, or actually touching grass on long walks through the woods.

I’m not really active on U+1D54F/The Website Formerly Known as Twitter anymore, but I’ve linked it just in case:
